Membership Report – US Navy League Madrid Council (October 2010)
Introduction
2010 has been a very active recruiting year for the US
Navy League Madrid Council. We are very happy to welcome all five new
individual members as well as the four new business associate members. The
Business Associate membership is growing strongly and now includes a total of five
business associates.

New Individual Members
Eva
Endress
Eva is currently a Solution Manager at Nokia Siemens Networks in Madrid. She manages products
and defines the solution vision, working closely with customers, operations,
technology and delivery teams, as well as subcontractors.
Eva is a German Citizen and graduated from the Technical
University (Munich) with an MS in Electrical Engineering
and Information Technology. She also had an internship at UC Berkely for 10
months.
Ms. Endress went on to obtain an MBA in International Business at Schiller International
University in Madrid
Spain.
Prior to this, Eva worked for Siemens in Paris
for eight years. Fluent in German, English, French and Spanish.
Gil
Flores
Gil Flores (born in Tel Aviv) is the New Head of Delegation of the
Israeli Ministry of Defence in Spain
and Portugal.
Gil has spent most of his career at the Israeli Ministry of Defence, working as
the Chief of Staff for the Managing Director of the Israeli Ministry of Defence
and prior to this; he was designated to the Security Directorate of the Defence
Establishment of the Israeli Ministry of Defence.
Gil completed his military service as an official in the Information
Security Department within the Special Forces Intelligence unit of the Israeli
Army. He graduated from Bar-Ilan
University with a degree
in Political Science.
Victoria
Krauss
Victoria Krauss was born in Manhattan and
grew up throughout Europe in Italy,
France, The Netherlands and he
United Kingdom
and speaks seven languages. Graduating from Georgetown University Summa Cum
Laude, Phi Beta Kappa and Rhodes Scholar nominee in Art and Languages, she
started her career in the art world in Spain. Together with her life long
partner and spouse, she launched the Galería F. Alcolea in Barcelona
and New York City showing emerging and middle
career Spanish and U.S.
artists.
Participation in international art fairs in the U.S., Europe and Asia
keeps her busy together with bringing up their three children. She is also a
legal translator having worked for years for Baker and McKenzie in Barcelona.
A judge for classical dressage, she rides and competes in this sport with great
passion.

Baldasano
Malachy
Murphy
Malachy Murphy is an Irish Citizen and currently a Key Account Executive
with the Irish Company Arantech here in Madrid.
Arantech is one of the premier providers of Customer Experience Management
systems to communication service providers worldwide.
Malachy`s career has been concentrated in the telecoms industry, having
worked for Airtel, Ericsson, Insec (in Portugal) and Aepona. He has
responsibility for nine of Arantech´s mobile phone operator clients based in
Europe and Africa with a subscriber base
between 1 and 25 million.
Malachy graduated from Dublin
City University
with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Applications in 1991 and a Master in
Science in Computer Applications in 1993. In 2003, Malachy graduated from the Smurfit Business
School of the famous University College
in Dublin.

MBDA
MBDA, a world leader in missiles and missile

GMV
GMV is a Spanish privately owned technological business group with an
international presence. Founded in 1984, GMV offers its solutions, services and
products in very diverse sectors: Aeronautics, Banking and Finances, Space, Defence,
Health, Security, Transportation, Telecommunications, and Information
Technology for Public Administration and large corporations.
GMV has sales of €93 million in 2009 and 1030 employees
Expal
Expal is a Spanish Company that develops and manufactures systems and
services for the maintenance and improvement of operational capacities of
armies and for the defence and protection of their troops. Expals products are
present in the armed forces of over 35 countries. The company has a total
number of 600 employees, located in 9 production centres in 4 countries. The
company represents the defence division of the Maxam Group (www.maxam-corp.com),
one of the worlds leading manufactures of explosives, initiation systems and
competition and field cartridges. The company has an annual turnover of more
than €800 million and more than 6.000 professionals located in over 40
countries.
